What partnerships can I access?

Education Excellence has well established links with a wide variety of partners who can help you with your own personal development plan or your school improvement plan.

The aim of such close partnerships is to support all aspects of school improvement through access to local, regional and national opportunities to enhance and improve professional development in all aspects.

The General Teaching Council

The Teacher Learning Academy is due to be launched nationally in September 2006 and colleagues within Education Excellence have worked with the GTC since the pilot phase.

Through the Teacher Learning Academy teachers are able to access free recognition of their own professional development at one of four levels. All Education Excellence professional development opportunities will be linked to the six key areas of effective CPD to enable recognition through the General Teaching Council.

Schools can also become Teacher learning Academy hubs for a number of schools in their area and the General Teaching Council can offer funding for this.
